A Few Marketing Lessons from the Masters

If you’ve been following me on social media, then you know I just spent the last four days at Funnel Hacking Live 2018. You’re probably wondering what the heck that even means!

Funnel Hacking Live is an annual event put on by Russell Brunson, the founder of ClickFunnels, which is the software I use to run my entire business. Everything from my landing pages, sales pages, opt-ins, email management, membership sites, online courses, payment integration, and much more. A one-stop shop, if you will.

But ClickFunnels is so much more than a software company. It’s a community of some of the most successful and inspiring entrepreneurs in the world.

In fact, this year’s event held 3,500 marketers from all across the globe and brought in the best of the best speakers, including Tony Robbins! To say I left feeling inspired is an understatement.

If you’ve worked with me in the past, then you know I’m a self-proclaimed “tech geek”; nothing gets me more excited than mapping out sales funnels and marketing strategies!

And while at the event, even though I found I was the minority in a room where men outnumbered the women, I was pleased to find that Russell brought in several female speakers, many of whom spoke to me with their powerful messages.

The one underlying theme that each of those speakers talked about was how building relationships with our tribe is the most important thing—taking care of our people, first and foremost.

It’s not about the money and it’s not about the sale. It’s about our calling and our desire to serve, above all. That’s why we do what we do, after all!

But the catch-22 of this is that so many of us have a fear of putting ourselves out there and being seen. We battle with our desire to serve and share our gifts and messages with the world, while also wanting to hide because our fear holds us back.

I know, because as an introvert that’s always been the biggest challenge in my own business. I LOVE my tribe and have a strong desire to serve, and the tech side of business is where I shine, but the actual marketing part is what often holds me back from sharing my programs and ideas with you.

Sometimes marketing just feels “icky” … you know what I mean?

But one speaker, Myron Golden, said something that really stood out, and the words stuck with me for the remainder of the weekend. In fact, this might be my biggest takeaway from the entire event:

“If you have a good product or service, you have a moral obligation to share it with as many people as possible.”

When he stood on that stage and spoke those words, something shifted inside of me. All this fear of sending out emails, doing live videos, creating more offers—why does it even matter? It’s not about me anymore. It’s about sharing what I have to offer that’s important. It’s about how I can better serve you.

In fact, another speaker, Allison Prince, got my attention when she said...

“Get over yourself, it’s not about you. It’s about your people.”

Get over yourself. That one hit home. So, when I left FHL yesterday, I made a decision, and that decision is from this day forward I WILL SERVE—no matter what.

That means sharing the knowledge I hold that can help others, letting you know about the programs I have to offer that can get you to the next level, and letting myself be seen on social media more often so we can connect across all platforms.

Hiding would mean I’d be doing a disservice to you, my trusted tribe.
So, I’ll begin here and now by letting you know what offers I currently have, so you can decide if any of these are a good fit for you:

Monetize Your Message – a private coaching opportunity where we'll work one-on-one to develop your core offer such as a book, online course, membership site or coaching program, and then I'll walk you step-by-step through the process of setting everything up and launching it to the world—including the tech and marketing pieces that so many struggle with. Apply here.

At the beginning of 2018, I stopped offering one-on-one coaching due to time constraints in my schedule, but I’ve opened up space for two people for the second quarter of 2018, and we can get started in April!

If you’re interested, apply here today. Again, I only have two spots open so don't delay.  I've had several requests for this lately, and I expect those spots to fill quickly.

There’s one final takeaway I'd like to share with you:

To get to the next level in our business, we must take inspired action and allow help from others along the way.

This is why I work closely with my mentor each week along with a mastermind where I connect with my colleagues. I learned long ago that trying to go it alone in business is a long and lonely road, often filled with costly mistakes by learning through trial and error.

I’ve learned the fastest way to meet success is by allowing those who have gone before us to pave the road and lead us through a proven process.

So, those are my offers for you today! Depending if you're looking for something free, low-end or high-end—I've added something to meet your needs at any level.

By the way, if you’d like to try out ClickFunnels and see if it’s right for you, get a two-week free trial here.
